Artist Spotlight:
Robert Earle & The Hamilton County Line

Robert “Rob-E” Perkins never sought to release any music until social distancing required by the pandemic and advancements in home-studio technology made home-studio music production more widely acceptable. Now that he is, however, he’s interested in a wide variety of music genres, including Country… inspiring him to don the moniker of “Robert Earle” and start the band, The Hamilton County Line.

“It seems that almost any song I write ends up coming out as Country, so I figured I’d work with that.” – Robert Earle

Robert Earle takes inspiration from old-school country, such as Roy Rogers, Hank Williams (Sr.), John Denver, and Kenny Rogers and has stated that his dream would be a duet with Dolly Parton, but then again, whose wouldn’t?

He also takes inspiration from some of the lighter side of country, from some of the more comedic country songs, such as Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan’s Tennessee Bird Walk and many lighthearted songs by Jimmy Buffet and David Allan Coe.

As a studio project, The roster of The Hamilton County Line is fluid and subject to change from project to project and song to song, at least for now. Robert Earle performs piano/keyboard parts, some bass lines and produces the songs, working with production assets including libraries for drums and pedal steel guitar, but is working on build a network of artists who can “sit in” on songs, where appropriate and as schedules permit.

Technically, the first “Robert Earle and the Hamilton County Line” release should have been “Christmas Day Begins at Midnight”, but that was released under the name, “Rob-E”. As such, the first official release for Robert Earle and the Hamilton County Line is the upcoming summer song, “Fillin’ Up On Love”, which features vocals by Ashley Anniston Perkins, Robert Earle’s wife.
