“Christmas Day Begins at Midnight” has a Country /
Traditional Christmas sound and seeks to express the
extreme level of anticipation that children can experience in
the weeks and months leading up to Christmas.

Robert “Rob-E” Perkins composed “Christmas Day Begins at
Midnight” over thirty years ago, while still in high school, and he
and his sisters have sung it to themselves ever since, but he never
sought to actually release any music until social distancing
required by the pandemic and advancements in home-studio
technology made home-studio music production more widely
acceptable.

“Christmas Day Begins at Midnight” has a Country / Traditional Christmas sound and seeks to express the extreme level of anticipation that children can experience in the weeks and months leading up to Christmas. Robert “Rob-E” Perkins composed “Christmas Day Begins at Midnight” over thirty years ago, while still in high school, and he and his sisters have sung it to themselves ever since, but he never sought to actually release any music until social distancing required by the pandemic and advancements in home-studio technology made home-studio music production more widely
